Former Epic Games Producer Becomes Former Irrational Games VP

Former Gears of War producer and VP of development at Irrational Games, Rod Fergusson announced today that he'll be leaving the studio behind the recently launched Bioshock Infinite to do… something else, I guess. Discussing the move with Polygon, Fergusson said:

During my departure from Epic, I learned that Irrational was in need of a "closer" to help finish Bioshock Infinite. I've been striving for better storytelling in the games I've worked on and I saw this as a great opportunity to learn from Ken and his team on how to build a truly story-driven game.

I am very proud of the work that I did and of the team and what they were able to accomplish on Infinite. Now with the game shipped successfully, I've done what I set out to do here and now I'm looking forward to the next chapter in my life and career.

You guys remember Fergusson as one of the Epic employees to leave that studio after Chinese internet company Tencent bought up a 40% stake in the house that gave gamers chainsaw bayonets and do-rag do-gooders. I'm not saying that Tencent just bought up 40% of Irrational Games, but damn that'd be weird if they had.
