Microsoft has announced the price at which it plans to sell its first-party games. Unsurprisingly, the company is going with the same scheme as last generation, releasing games at $59.99.

"I can confirm that Microsoft Studios games on Xbox One will be $59.99 (MSRP)," a representative told Polygon. However, this doesn't mean that all games will come in at that price tag, as third-parties can set it even higher should they choose to do so.

With Sony planning to launch first-party software at $59.99 as well, but not having any sort of online or used game limitations, one might think it wise of Microsoft to come in a bit cheaper. Sure, it may have just been wishful thinking on my part, but still, the company could really use any sort of positive edge right now.
