It’s been less than a day since the DualSense controller was revealed and people are already making fun of it. A wave of PS5 controller memes is exploding on social media, mixing up silly takes on Sony’s new DualSense controller along with some more serious redesigns.
We scoured the Internet for some of the funnier PS5 controller memes and more interesting redesigns and found a treasure trove of hilarity. That’s not all, though — we’ve also found some really interesting takes on new color schemes, and many fans hope that Sony is going to offer up some options.

With games like the Neptunia franchise floating around, it’s not that surprising to see the DualSense personified in various ways.

Of course, some of the PS5 controller memes also make fun of the controller’s shape or overall design, likening it to a piece of clothing or the offspring of the Xbox One and DualShock 4 controllers.

The DualSense has certainly made an impact, but it’s not the first time that Sony has shown off a new controller that made a lot of buzz. Lots of people made fun of the PS3 “boomerang” controller — and they’re certainly not letting Sony forget about it.

Not all PS5 controller memes are jokes
While there are tons of hilarious PS5 controller memes, there are plenty of serious redesigns as well. Some people have wondered if the colored portions of the controller are actually faceplates and can be changed out in some way.
It doesn’t matter whether or not we’ll have different color options in the end — people are already cooking up their own designs. You can certainly count on some of the more artistic folks out there tearing apart their controllers and making some of these cool new artistic concepts a reality:
