Watch: First PS5 ‘Play Has No Limits’ ad showcases immersive 3D audio and DualSense

The first PS5 global ad has been revealed, showcasing the next-gen console’s immersive features such as 3D audio and its DualSense controller. The ad, titled ‘Play Has No Limits,’ provides a look (and listen) at some of the PS5’s key selling points, promising a “new world of immersion.”

The trailer features a young woman exploring a mysterious location. “It starts as she walks across a frozen lake, feeling the crack of ice at her feet,” Sony‘s Vice President of Global Marketing notes in the blog post revealing the trailer. “As the character senses danger, the sudden explosive reveal of the kraken from the icy surface showcases the haptic feedback sensation you can feel from DualSense wireless controller for the PS5 console.”

The 3D audio is also showcased throughout, as the character is shown reacting to sounds that come from all around her. The DualSense’s adaptive triggers are also highlighted, with the tension of the character’s bowstring able to felt as the player readies their arrows.

The trailer is the first ad for the PS5 to go live, with Sony promising “more to come in the coming weeks.” Potential PS5 owners are now growing increasingly antsy about Sony still not revealing a price for the console, though Sony will presumably announce this in the near future.
