Rust console beta

Rust console beta sign-ups are now live

Survival game Rust has been around for years on PC, though it recently surged in popularity. In what may be a bid to capitalize on that, a beta for the long-awaited console version has been announced. The closed Rust console beta is live now on PS4 and Xbox One, with limited places still available. Here’s how to sign up for beta testing and potentially gain early access to the game on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

It’s worth noting that while the Rust beta will be playable on PlayStation 5, the developers haven’t finished implementing all of the backward compatibility features yet. As a result, Rust PS5 beta testers may experience “higher levels of instability and unexpected behavior.” The same goes for Xbox Series X|S owners, too.

Here’s how to sign up for the Rust PS4 beta in just a few simple steps:

  1. Visit the official website.
  2. Scroll down the page to reach a data entry form.
  3. Enter the following details in the relevant fields:
    • Email address
    • First and second name
    • PlayStation 4
    • Region of residence
  4. Click the “SIGNUP” button.

If selected, users will receive a PS4 Rust beta key via email.

The Rust console beta code will only work in the specified region, though allows players unlimited access during the test period. According to developer Doube Eleven, the Rust console beta end date is March 29.

How to sign up for the Rust Xbox One console beta

Here’s the simple Rust beta sign up process for Xbox One fans:

  1. Open the official website.
  2. Scroll down to the data entry form.
  3. Fill in the required details:
    • Email
    • Full name
    • Xbox One
    • Resident region
  4. Select the “SIGNUP” button.

After completing the registration process, there’s a random chance of receiving a Rust Xbox One beta key via email.

It’s still unclear whether or not the Rust console ports will be fully optimized for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There’s also been no word on a potential Nintendo Switch version.
