What’s in the new Fortnite update today?

The Fortnite 3.16 update patch notes have been revealed, with it deploying across PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile. Known as the Fortnite 16.40 update on PC, the brand new update brings with it a number of fixes along with data-mined leaks from prominent leakers.

Here’s everything that’s been included in the new Fortnite update:

The Fortnite 3.16 update features the following fixes deployed across PC, console, and mobile:

General

  • Visual issues on Toon Meowscles and similarly-styled Outfits on certain platforms.
  • Cannot create system-level parties between PS5 and PS4 when playing Fortnite.
  • Trail color of the Harmonic Axes Pickaxe doesn’t always match the selected Style.

Battle Royale

  • Landing at a different location than intended.
  • Long-pressing the Inventory Button selects first Craftable item.
  • “Hunt Wildlife” Quest not tracking progress properly.

Creative

  • HUD displaying incorrect memory cost before placing device or Gallery.
  • Build not properly editing when building/editing fast in Creative.
  • Prop-O-Matic features not functioning correctly.
  • “Recent Islands” list does not update.
  • Small white boxes appear on Consumable thumbnails.

Mobile

  • Players cannot change their custom controller settings while playing Nintendo Switch in docked mode.

The update size for the brand new Fortnite update has been revealed, with it measuring in at between 1GB to 3GB across PC and consoles.

  • PC: 1.37GB

  • PS4: 3GB
  • Xbox One: 2.5GB
  • Android: 1GB
