As the summer heat rises, discerning Pokemon Go players are searching for ways to catch Pokemon, hatch eggs, and defeat gyms without having to walk. It’s no easy task, as the game centers around conquering your local area, and knowing the best spots to find Pokemon. A recent YouTube video delves into the “Joystick Hack” for iOS and Android, which lets you move around on Pokemon Go from the comfort of your home.

In the video, the creator reveals their glitched version of Pokemon Go, complete with a joystick at the bottom of the screen, which lets you move around. There’s also a dashboard on the left-hand side of the screen, which gives you the ability to change your location in the same way as a spoofer.
Of course, we can’t recommend that you install the Joystick Hack. Any attempt to mess with Pokemon Go’s location settings, or to spoof your movement in any way, is strictly against Niantic’s terms of service. They clamp down pretty hard on any Pokemon Go cheats, and you could easily find your account permanently deleted if you try it out.
It’s no easy feat either, involving plenty of tinkering with settings, and installing mods onto your iPhone. We won’t explain how to do it here since it’s against Niantic’s terms. On top of that, installing any third-party software always carries the risk of voiding your warranty or bricking your device. However, loyal Pokemon Go players have used it to move location without the added effort of walking. Technically, it can help you hatch arduous 12km eggs, or travel to regions you can’t access on foot. Therefore, it’ll theoretically give you an advantage when playing. However, the illegitimacy of the hack, and the potential risks, really do outweigh the benefits.
