For the first time, you can play Call of Duty: Vanguard free during a free access campaign that will last two weeks. This will offer the perfect opportunity for you not only to try out Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer, but to get a taste of the game’s Season Two offerings on a variety of popular maps in a selected playlist.
What are the dates and times that you play Call of Duty: Vanguard for free?
The event, according to a blog post on the official website, will (surprise!) begin tomorrow on March 30 and run for two weeks until April 13. When exactly you’ll have access to this free period for Call of Duty: Vanguard depends on your region. That said, this event will make it easy for you and a group of friends to test out Vanguard’s current offerings.
During the two-week free access period, you’ll have access to Casablanca and Gondola, two maps launched for Season Two. Whereas Casablanca is a mid-sized map situated in a Moroccan marketplace with numerous building to climb and snipe from, Gondola is a map with caves and a power plant that offers, well, a gondola that you can ride above a gulch.
If you’re looking to engage in a larger map, you can try the Alps map which has been specifically designed for capturing bases. Every base, when secured by your team, automatically shuts itself off against enemies and provides Buy Stations where you can purchase equipment, abilities, and vehicles using cash earned from objectives and the unfortunate corpses of enemy operators.
For you’re a new player interested in this free access period, Sledgehammer Games suggests that you delve into the set multiplayer playlist first to get a broad overview of Vanguard’s multiplayer. It will include the smaller map Das Haus and a reconfigured Shipment map which Call of Duty fans will recognize.
In other news, Vanguard’s developers say that map rotation can’t happen because of the game’s massive install sizes, and the rumors were true that the Fortnite No Build mode will indeed be becoming permanent.
