NBA 2K23 is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC at the start of September, and pre-orders of the game are available right now. Whereas most games give players a couple of different choices, the NBA franchise continues as usual with a choice of not one but five different editions.
NBA 2K23 edition details
NBA 2K23 comes in five different editions across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC and has four different cover stars between them. A sixth version is promised for the future. Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker is on the cover of the standard edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition. The standard edition is available on all six platforms, while the Digital Deluxe Edition is only available on PlayStation and Xbox. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes:

Phoenix Mercury’s Diana Taurasi and Seattle Storm’s Sue Bird will be on the cover of the final edition to be available for pre-order right now: the WBNA Edition. This edition is available exclusively at GameStop in the US and Canada and contains the following content:
- A copy of the game for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, OR PC
- Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi’s WNBA jerseys in-game content
Finally, there will be a special version of the standard edition, “recognizing the cross-section of music and basketball culture”, which is planned to be released later this Fall. More details on this edition will be released closer to the time. Pre-orders for all of the other five NBA 2K23 editions are available through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Game Store, Nintendo eShop, Steam, and at retail right now ahead of the game’s release date of September 9.
In other news, Skull and Bones gameplay will be entirely doable by solo players but not on Xbox One or PS4, as the game is canceled on those consoles. Elsewhere, Fall Guys Abstergo’s Challenge is available now and revolves entirely around the Sweet Thieves mode.
