EA Talks E3, No Need for Speed in 2014, “New Titanfall Experiences”

Electronic Arts has revealed its plans for E3, confirming that it will be holding its press conference on June 9th at 12 p.m. PT. In addition, the publisher teased that a total of six new projects projects will be revealed at the expo, one of which is powered by Frostbite and scheduled to release in Q3 of this year.

In addition, EA announced that it will once again be partnering with Respawn Entertainment to release "new Titanfall experiences," which could be anything from sequels to spin-offs. "Through a new agreement with Vince Zampella and Respawn, we'll be able to bring new Titanfall experiences to players worldwide," EA CEO Andrew Wilson said.

On the racing front, the traditionally annual Need for Speed franchise won't be getting a new installment this year. Instead, EA is giving Ghost Games an extra year to make a really killer racer for release in 2015. "Ghost Games in Gothenburg is working on an innovative new chapter of this storied franchise," Wilson explained during today's conference call. "We've planned an extended development window to ensure we're delivering a high-quality experience for Need for Speed players next year."

We're now just one month away from the Electronic Entertainment Expo and I don't know about you but I'm struggling to contain my excitement. It's clear EA has some exciting reveals this year and other major players like Ubisoft, Sony, and Microsoft plan to bring some surprises as well. Get hyped!
