Next-Gen Game From Rockstar Coming This Fiscal Year

Rockstar Games, the development studio behind the Grand Theft Auto franchise and Red Dead Redemption, will be releasing a next-gen title before Take-Two's fiscal year comes to a close.

Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two, revealed the exciting news during a company earnings call, saying that they're "very excited about what they [Rockstar] have in store for next-gen systems in this fiscal year," which ends March 31, 2015.

Does this mean Grand Theft Auto V will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One within the next few months? Quite possibly. That said, I really hope the team is working on a new Red Dead game for next-gen hardware. As far as I'm concerned, a new open-world western from Rockstar can't come soon enough.
