Half-Life 3, Left 4 Dead 3 Reportedly in Development

Despite the fact that Valve has expressed a clear commitment to expanding its Steam platform—perhaps even to the detriment of actual game development—it appears that the company is still working hard on two new titles that have been rumored for quite some time: Half-Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3.

According to former Valve employee and Counter-Strike creator Minh "Gooseman" Le, both of the aforementioned titles are currently in development.

"I don't think I can talk about that, to be honest, but I think it's kind of public knowledge, that people know that it is being worked on," he said on the goRGNtv podcast. "I guess I could say that I did see something that looked kinda like in the Half-Life universe. And I mean it wouldn't surprise anyone if I said they're doing it, they're working on it, yeah. So to go on a limb I'd say I did see some concept art for Half-Life 3."

With regard to a new Left 4 Dead, he added, "I saw it, it looks great. I was really excited when I saw that, I was like 'wow, this looks great'."

Here's to hoping Valve breaks the silence on these two titles very soon. After all, we've been waiting for quite a long time to find out what happens next to Gordon Freeman.
