PlayStation Now Beta Heads to Sony TVs Next Week

Sony's PlayStation Now service will make the jump to Bravia TVs when the company's line of 2014 displays land at retail next week.

PlayStation Now uses streaming technology to give players without PlayStation hardware like a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 3 to play PlayStation games and… holy crap, am I about to say PlayStation again?

Of course, you can use PlayStation consoles to play games via the PlayStation Now service, but Bravia TVs will expand the audience by quite a lot and ensure that Sony's promise of a wider network of gamers comes true. Bravia TVs will be part of the PlayStation Pilot Service, which remains relegated to the continental United States.

New display owners will also only have access to PlayStation 3 games and they'll need a DualShock 3 controller attached to the TV via USB cable. Here's a list of Bravia models that will offer PlayStation Now:

XBR-X900B series
XBR-X800B series
KDL-W950B series
KDL-W850B series
KDL-W800B series
