Naughty Dog Reveals Secret Ending to The Last of Us

Last night, Naughty Dog held a live performance in celebration of the launch of The Last of Us Remastered for PlayStation 4. A number of scenes were acted out by the game's voice actors and, at the end, a little surprise was shared with the audience.

A special, secret ending to the game's plot was revealed. While no video footage of it was allowed to be taken, a NeoGAF user summarized the events. Note: If you are sensitive to SPOILERS you'd best stop here.

The scene takes place at Tommy dam one night 4 years later. Joel talks about how Tommy trying to get Joel hitched to a girl named Esther. El lies acting fairly distant, probably conflicted about joels lie. Joel then said he has a special gift for her and busts out a guitar. Then he plays a special song for her. Then he gives her guitar and promises to teach her. The scene ends with her striking a note on the guitar

Neil also said before the scene is a goodbye to Joel and ellie.
