PlayStation 4 UK Sales Surpass One Million

PlayStation 4 has sold over one million units in the UK since its launch late last year, making it the second fastest-selling console in the nation's history, right behind Nintendo's Wii.

Chris Owen of Sony Europe confirmed the news on Twitter, making it clear that these are sell-through numbers, not just consoles that have been shipped to retailers but actual units that have been purchased by consumers.

The PlayStation brand has always been strong in the UK, so this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, especially when considering how much both Wii U and Xbox One have been struggling since their respective launches.
