Hearthstone Coming to Android Tablets Later This Year, Smartphones in 2015

Hearthstone, Blizzard's free-to-play digital card game, is set to arrive on Android tablets later this year.

The studio made the announcement over on the official Battle.net blog, saying, "We're taking things one step at a time and we've got our sights set on a release for Android tablets, our next new platform, before the end of the year. We've just got a few more mana crystals to polish and some Angry Chickens to chase down."

Sadly, however, it looks like the wait for the smartphone version is going to be a bit longer, as Blizzard doesn't expect the game to be ready for phones until early next year. "We're also close to having Hearthstone out to our iPhone and Android phone users, but it's become clear that we need a little more time to get that version right," Blizzard added. "While we have a build up and running internally, it needs a bit more work, and we don't feel like we'll be ready to share it with you until early next year."

Have you been hooked on Hearthstone? I've enjoyed what little of it I've played, but I totally suck at card games. That said, I may have to take the plunge yet again in 2015 when it's finally available for iPhone.
