Nearly 13 Million People Have Played Destiny

A whopping 12,869,066 gamers have played Bungie's shared-world first-person shooter Destiny since it first launched this September.

According to the developer in its year-end update, "12,869,066 players have picked up a controller and taken Destiny for a spin. They have sparked 22,932,276 Guardians to life. Together, they have spent 872,404,449 hours battling the aliens that want to turn them into dust."

Those figures are certainly nothing to scoff at. I'm sure Activision is quite pleased with how successful the game has proven to be thus far from a commercial standpoint.

Are you still playing Destiny? If so, let us know what you think of Bungie's polarizing shooter in the comments below.
