The NYXI Warrior Bluetooth Controller combines new and old, with a retro style that borrows from the beloved Nintendo GameCube gamepad, a controller still loved by many. It’s a design that was perfected decades ago, becoming a popular preference for those wanting better ergonomics than what the Nintendo Switch stock pad offers. With NYXI taking this top-tier design and injecting modern features into its Warrior Bluetooth Controller, there’s potential for greatness. Here is my review.
Old school meets new school
It might look like an old-school controller, but below the surface of the Warrior Bluetooth Controller are Hall Effect joysticks and buttons using microswitches. That means better longevity and more accurate inputs, modern must-haves that NYXI has successfully implemented.
Look around the controller and you’ll spy adjustable triggers and back paddles, which are especially helpful in more competitive titles. The combination works well in Splatoon 3 and Fortnite.
But wait, there’s more

Other feature highlights include turbo, HD rumble, and a gyroscope. You can pair the controller with a Switch, GameCube, Wii, and PC, which is fantastic to see.
The main gripe

There’s not much I can criticise about NYXI’s Warrior Bluetooth Controller. It delivers on the old-school design while implementing a comprehensive arsenal of modern features. My only gripe is the battery life which, while not awful, is noticeably shorter than official Nintendo solutions like the Pro Controller.
As for Amiibo support, this controller doesn’t support that.

Final Verdict
At $68.99, the NYXI Warrior Bluetooth Controller strikes a good balance between classic design and modern functionality. It brings enough features to satisfy most players, whether you’re into casual gaming or more competitive play. While it’s not without a few small compromises, the overall experience is impressive for the price and makes it a worthwhile option for those looking beyond first-party controllers.
