What Are You Playing? June 1st, 2017

This last week marked the release of three notable titles, including Friday the 13th: The Game, Everspace, and Vanquish (PC). We reviewed all three, so be sure to check our write-ups out if you are looking for something to play.

As with last week I’ve been spending a lot of time in The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind and Final Fantasy XIV. I’ve admittedly lost interest in Morrowind, as I just don’t care for the combat enough to invest hundreds of hours of my time into the game. On the other hand, Final Fantasy XIV has me gripped. I managed to finish leveling my Dragoon to 60 on Monday, and have since hit item level 218; just 12 more to go and I can complete the final required main scenario quests to progress to Stormblood.

In addition, I have just started playing Rising Storm 2: Vietnam. I’m pleasantly surprised by the gameplay, as I’m used to lower-priced FPS games (outside of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) being clunky. It’s also a very dramatic game that makes a strong impression, something that’s rare among games in the genre. So far I’m enjoying it, and I will have a review shortly.
