17 Minute Hitman: Absolution Demo Gets Developer Commentary

Posted on Thursday, November 3 @ 15:55:49 Eastern by

Above you'll find the same 17 minutes of Hitman: Absolution that journalists and "special" people saw at E3 this year. It's true that the same footage has already been released, but now IO Interactive and Square Enix have seen fit to give gamers a bit more insight with Game Director Tore Blystad and Gameplay Director Christian Elverdam highlighting some of the finer points in the playthrough.

I know a lot of people have made decisions about Hitman: Absolution early on after seeing this demo, but speaking from experience, a game can change pretty wildly between the first time it's shown to the public and its full release. That said, share your favorite Hitman moments in the comments in the hopes that IO Interactive are avid fans of GameRevolution and they see your input.

Hitman: Absolution is slated for a release next year on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

Watching this and the original playthrough I couldn't help but think how unrealistic the progression was through the level, not once does he turn around to look at an enemy that just walked right past him (clearly because the player/developer knows he doesn't have to worry)... Not to mention how linear this is, on easy difficulty you could probably sprint until the hippy apartment (then it becomes too claustrophobic) but don a police uniform (maybe by killing the police with the scripted movement before the open area with the lingering helicopter) and the end is cake. Ugh, how I hate stealth games with scripted events, no better way of telling a player "way to do exactly what we wanted you to do, genius."

whoa dude, have you ever played any of these games? Hitman is one of the most well known games for giving players so many different choices of completing missions. Now if you said this about Assassins Creed I'd totally agree. Once you get past climbing the game is ridiculously repetitive, hidden blade kill the target, rinse, and repeat...
