Zone of the Enders PS4 Remaster Has PSVR Support But No Hideo Kojima

A Zone of the Enders PS4 remaster is on its way, with it including PSVR support and playable in a 4K resolution on the PS4 Pro.

The original Zone of the Enders was created by Hideo Kojima, best known for the Metal Gear series, back in 2001, but Kojima's currently busy working on Death Stranding so he won't oversee development this time around. Instead, his former employer Konami is taking the reins, with Zone of the Enders: Anubis Mars boasting improved visuals and support for the underutilized PlayStation VR headset.

The remaster was announced during Tokyo Game Show 2017, with it being arguably the most surprising reveal from Sony's presentation at the event. Alongside the improved visuals and PSVR support, the game is said to boast "next-gen surround sound" and "brand new features" that were not seen in the previous game.

The reboot is a remaster of Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, the 2003 sequel to the PS2 game, which Kojima produced. It received positive reviews upon its initial release, with it having also previously been brought to the PS3 and Xbox 360 in the form of a HD remake.
