What Are You Playing? February 28th, 2015

Last week, I mentioned that I was moments away from finishing Yakuza 5. Indeed, shortly after hitting "submit" on the ol' GameRevolution Post Your Shit interface, I polished it off and wrote this Yakuza 5 review over at PSLS. It's one of the longer reviews I've written, especially lately, but it's the kind of game whose pros and cons take quite a few more words than usual to describe. I enjoyed the game, but not to the extent I've enjoyed others in the series.

If nothing else, it's far better than PS4 RPG Omega Quintet, which is so far only making me want lie down across some train tracks. Awful story, dumb soundtrack (coming from a guy who enjoys Japanese music), inane characters… ugh, this is a rough one.

To cleanse my palate, I popped in the GameCube's Skies of Arcadia Legends and PSOne Classic Einhander (on my Vita) the other day. Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh sweet relief.

What are you playing?
