Journey Gets Release Date on PS4

I played through Journey multiple times on PlayStation 3, but that isn't going to stop me from doing it all over again on PlayStation 4. It won't be a long wait, as a July release date has been announced for the PS4 port of Journey.

The specific release date is July 21, just two weeks from now. The PlayStation Blog post also includes the launch trailer for the game, which can be viewed above. It's no surprise that Journey looks even more gorgeous on newer hardware.

The best part is that Journey on PS4 supports cross-buy. If you already bought it on PS3 back in 2012 (or later), then you can download the PS4 version for free. That's a price I can get behind.

Sony also plans to launch a "What Your Journey Experience Meant to You" campaign leading up to the release. It asks fans to record video testimonials about the game, and more details can be found on the PlayStation Blog.
