Capcom Will Add Arcade Mode in Street Fighter V, Eventually

Despite a solid core fighting system, the console release for Street Fighter V lacked the single-player experience, chiefly Arcade Mode which has been a staple since Street Fighter began. As I stated in my review, "you might be shocked and chagrined at the lack of a traditional Arcade mode and the lack of versus-play against the CPU in Versus mode."

So thankfully, in a statement to Forbes, a Capcom representation has revealed that "the team is looking into adding an Arcade Mode and we'll have more information to share soon." Beyond recalibrating the existing character stories into a fuller mode, it will also provide a difficulty option for them as well instead of being constantly on the easiest setting.

Also slated in the near future are various single-player modes including daily challenges, Extra Battle mode with super bosses, the familiar Trials mode, Battle Tips, and a comeback for Alex from Street Fighter III. You can also expect Guile, Balrog, Ibuki, Juri, and Urien to arrive across the rest of this year.
