Exploring the Remarkable Sandbox World of ArcheAge (Games 101)

Two years ago ArcheAge showed the MMO world what a modern sandbox game is capable of. It’s enjoyed success since then as several post-launch updates have introduced new content and features.

This week an update will release introducing all new Free-For-All Arena PvP, weapon auras and much more. It will be followed up later this year with the game’s biggest update yet, v3.0.

In learning this I decided to head into the world of ArcheAge to experience the game for my first time. I recorded my time playing, and cut it down to 10 minutes that give you an idea of what it’s like to play the leading fantasy sandbox MMO. You can view it above.
