A 58GB Fallout 4 High Resolution Texture Pack Has Arrived, Requires GTX 1080

Bethesda has released its official High Resolution Texture Pack for Fallout 4. This 58GB update significantly increases the visual quality of the game, affecting environment and character alike. Though, it should be noted that usage of its uncompressed textures has a significant affect on performance, requiring a GTX 1080 at minimum.

Due to its hardware requirements, this pack will not be available on console. Though, the PS4 Pro will be receiving a patch of its own in the near future that will make use of its more powerful GPU.

Some players have complained about the significant hard drive requirements of the pack, sharing that there are free graphics mods which have a comparable affect on the game at less storage cost. Though, early testing by us has shown that this pack is more optimized than its third-party competition.

The Fallout 4 High Resolution Texture Pack is currently available for download on Steam at no cost.

We will be testing this pack throughout today and will post an overview shortly.
