Rumor Confirmed: Atlus Publishing Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time

After playing the equivalent of Blues Clues with RPG fans (though guessing the game wasn't that hard), Atlus has finally announced that they will be publishing Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time for PSP. Fans of the series held onto hope with bated breath for someone, anyone, to bring the fourth entry in the Growlanser series to arrive in the States (Growlanser: Heritage of War came out on PS2 in 2007… and it wasn't that good). And with the PS Vita arriving in late February, Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time may just be the PSP's swansong.

As many RPGs before it, the game is set in an age after divine entities destroyed a technologically advanced civilization long ago in the past. After a few thousand years, they have returned once more, and you must stop them. Along the way, you must win over other party members, learning of their motivations and backstory to convince them to join your cause and saving them from their fated deaths. True to form, there will be more than 40+ endings.

No release date has been slated yet for the title, but it will be some time during the summer.
