Resistance: Burning Skies Multi-Player Details Leaked

Resistance: Burning Skies is an important game for the Vita, not just because it's a big IP title releasing on the heels of a new hardware's release, but because it'll be the very first first person shooter to grace the platform. Even though the game was announced last August, very little is known about the title. Thankfully, an accidental post on PlayStation.com (which was promptly removed) contained the information that fans are craving for.

So for all of you who have been wondering just what the Vita's first FPS will entail for online, here's the scoop:

  • 8-player online multi-player.
  • 6 maps
  • 3 game modes

Eight player online is pretty darn small compared to previous releases, but it'll have to do. Similarly, three game modes isn't a whole lot, but what can you expect from an FPS releasing on a handheld just three months after launch? For those of you wondering if the game will have enough content to justify a purchase, it will contain a campaign mode which will incorporate some of the Vita's features to break away from the mold of the three PlayStation 3 releases.

Resistance: Burning Skies is currently scheduled to release on May 29th in North America, and May 30th in Europe.
