Xbox One Is Getting the Highest Rated Indie Game of 2017 with What Remains of Edith Finch

Giant Sparrow has announced that What Remains of Edith Finch is coming to Xbox One. Arriving on July 19th, this port will offer a nearly identical experience to the already-established PS4 version with 1080p resolution.

The news was accompanied by a new trailer which showcases the game’s accolades alongside brief gameplay. See below:

What Remains of Edith Finch originally released on April 25th to glowing reviews, earning a coveted 88 Metascore.  Many heralded it for its emotion-rich storytelling and visual splendor.

Our very own Griffin Vacheron gave the game a less fortunate 3.5 in our official review, stating, “This is a moody, thoughtful, and often harrowing account of Edith and her tragedy-ridden kin”. Although we didn’t find it as tasteful as many others, it’s still without a doubt one of the year’s best indie titles.
