Explore The Freedom Chronicles in Wolfenstein II: The New Blood’s Upcoming DLC Packs [UPDATE]

Update: If you missed out on the original Wolfenstein: The Old Blood and Wolfenstein: The New Order, you can pick them up in a special pack for $30, offering a $10 rebate off of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus as well. You’ll be able to grab this new pack in August, just in time for you to get acquainted with the newer world of Wolfenstein before jumping into the latest game. And trust us, this is a world you want to get to know, especially if it’s been a while since you enjoyed a Wolfenstein title.

Original Story: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is already shaping up to be a bloody good time, if our first looks at the game are any indication. But it’s important to remember that under the terrifying new Nazi regime, BJ Blazkowicz isn’t the only one out there fighting for America and our freedom. No, that’s where three other special freedom fighters come in. You’ll be able to get to know them in Wolfenstein II – The Freedom Chronicles, which stretches across three different DLC packs from Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

The Freedom Chronicles will include three unique characters with different scenarios to play through. The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe will follow a former professional quarterback named Joseph Stallion as he powers through hordes of Nazis from Chicago to outer space. That’s quite a ways to travel, Joe, so good on you.

The Diaries of Agent Silent Death will follow ex-OSS agent and assassin Jessica Valiant as she clears out Nazi bunkers in California to figure out what’s going on with the secretive Operation San Andreas. Nope, it has nothing to do with Grand Theft Auto.

Lastly, The Amazing Deeds of Captain Wilkins follows the titular Captain as he embarks on a mission all the way to Alaska, which is in the hands of the Nazis, in an attempt to stop Operation Black Sun from continuing.

Each of the three DLC packs will be available in The Freedom Chronicles Season Pass, which will retail for $24.99. There isn’t a release date just yet for any of the packs, but you’ll get them all if you decide to pick up the Season Pass and pay for everything all at once.

You’ll also get The Freedom Chronicles: Episode Zero if you pick up the Season Pass, but if not, it’s available as a special preorder bonus as well. So if you went ahead and reserved a copy of the game for pickup, you’ll get this prequel episode that acts as an introduction to the freedom fighters you meet in The Freedom Chronicles. You’ll meet Joseph Stallion, Jessica Valiant and Gerald Wilkins in this beginning mission before kicking things off with their separate stories.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus releases on October 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
