Tell GR: Which Underrated Game Deserves a Reboot?

Last week, the gaming world was rocked (well, not exactly rocked — more like pushed to the side a little bit, as if gently caressed by a light breeze) when it was revealed that Nightmare Creatures would be receiving a reboot. The PlayStation-era series has been on the mind of pretty much no one over the past couple of decades, but here we are, staring at a brand new entry which possesses all the visual prowess of a particularly unattractive potato.

Seriously, look at the state of this guy’s head:

Still, I actually enjoyed the original game back in ’97, so maybe its developers will manage to surprise everyone by delivering a reboot that manages to revitalize the survival horror series for current-gen consoles. Or maybe it’ll be as bad as the voice acting in its announcement trailer. We’ll just have to wait and see.

So with this reboot proving that the gaming industry will bring back just about any old franchise regardless of its popularity, now is as good a time as any to look back on some of the underrated cult classics from yesteryear, and think about how they could be reintroduced for the current generation. With that being said, we want to hear which game series YOU want to see brought back from the dead, and how you’d like to see developers introduce them to a brand new audience in 2017.

So Tell GR: which underrated game do you believe deserves a reboot? Remember: the best replies will make their way into this week’s The People Speak, so make them good!
