Fortnite Free Skin

Free Fortnite Skin Now Available to PS Plus Subscribers

While Fortnite Battle Royale is a free-to-play experience, which doesn’t charge an entry fee, and allows for unlimited playtime with no cap, it still needs to make money somehow. Epic Games is hoping regular players feel the urge to invest in a Battle Pass, or just outright buy cosmetic unlocks. Money, or an excessive grind, has been the main method of getting that extra bit of exotic flair.

Happily, for those of us determined to keep our wallets tightly shut, Epic Games is giving PlayStation Plus subscribers the chance to pick up a free Fortnite skin. You simply click here, add it your basket, and then download it to your PS4.

If you own a PS4, but play Fortnite on a different platform, you’ll be happy to learn that unlocking the skin with PlayStation Plus — providing your Sony account is linked up to Epic Games’ services — will also unlock it for other systems. This has been confirmed to work on PC, but we’re still waiting for confirmation from an Xbox One player.

But is the skin any good? I mean, if you’re thinking about doing the workaround described above, you at least want to know what the skin looks like! Without any further ado, here it is:

I mean, I think it looks cool enough, especially since I’m already a PlayStation Plus subscriber. Free stuff is rarely a bad thing, I suppose!

What do you make of this Fortnite free skin? Will you be picking it up? Or were you hoping for something less blue and white? (I mean, it’s not going to keep you hidden amongst the foliage!)
