Polish Newsletter Teases PS3 Super Slim, Possible TGS Reveal

Sony's third hardware revision for the PlayStation 3, while still unconfirmed, is hardly a secret at this point. It stands to reason that Sony held off on announcing it at gamescom in an effort to clear out as much of the current PS3 stock as they could before consumers spring for an even newer model.

According to a Polish newsletter for an electronics retailer called Media Expert, the Super Slim PS3 will be announced very soon… like Tokyo Game Show soon. For those that don't keep up with this sort of thing – shame on you! – TGS kicks off in just a couple of days, with Sony's conference set to take place on the 26th. Interestingly enough, the Polish advertisement lists a September 28th release date, so this bad boy may be on store shelves sooner than you thought.

Are you interested in picking up an even slimmer version of Sony's console, or are you content with the model you have? Those of you still without a PS3, would a $199 price tag be enough to lure you in? Let us know in the comments below.
