PUBG Update 18 Patch Notes: New Custom Match, QBU Weapon, Rony Vehicle and More

The new PUBG Update 18 patch notes have been released into the wild, giving players an idea of what to expect from the new Test Server update. This is the eighteenth update for the 1.0 version of PUBG on PC, and it contains a number of significant features that players are sure to like, especially if those players are big fans of the new Sanhok map. You see, PUBG Update 18 adds a couple of Sanhok exclusives that are only available on that map! Here’s everything you need to know about the PUBG Update 18 patch notes.

PUBG Update 18 Patch Notes: New Custom Match, QBU Weapon, and Rony Vehicle

First up is the big change coming to Custom Match, with the UI being overhauled for better navigation. Now players can easily view and tweak the Classic, Zombie, War, and eSports modes, setting presets for each. Tweakable options include: session name, game mode, password, server region, map, weather, number of players, team size, gameplay, Blue Zone settings, types of weapons, and spawn rates. These will be familiar to those who have already dabbled in Custom Match gameplay, but now they’re easier to navigate and manage.

The new QBU weapon is exclusive to the Sanhok map. It’s a DMR that uses a standard magazine with 10 rounds of 5.56mm ammo, which can be increased to 20 when using an extended mag. Unique to this weapon is the bipod attachment, which greatly reduces recoil when shooting the gun from prone. The QBU will replace the Mini 14 on Sanhok.

The new Rony pickup truck is another Sanhok exclusive, and so won’t be available on Erangel or Miramar. It holds up to four passengers and is great for traversing Sanhok’s hilly landscape. As one of the larger vehicles available on the map, the Rony can be used for cover as well as transportation.
