Levine: BioShock Infinite’s Ending Is Like Nothing Gamers Have Ever Seen

One of the many reasons why the original BioShock was such a memorable experience was the jaw-dropping twist that precedes the game's ending. Irrational Games' spiritual successor to that underwater adventure will likely have an ending that provides a similarly mind-blowing moment according to Ken Levine.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Levine explained that the way they wrap up BioShock Infinite's story is not only surprising, but unlike anything we've ever seen in this medium.

The plot actually gets more interesting as it goes on. The end of the game, I can’t tell whether people will like it or not like it. I can say it’s something we’re incredibly proud of. It’s like nothing you’ve actually experienced in a video game before. It’s unique and quite particular to this world, these characters and this franchise.

Those of you who listen to GR Radio on a regular basis are likely well aware of the fact that I enjoy a good story, so it goes without saying that this news has me giddy with delight. But what about you? How important is it for you that BioShock Infinite delivers a compelling narrative? Perhaps all you care about flying around Columbia with the skyhook and destroying waves of enemies with your vigors… Either way, share your thoughts in the comments below.
