Jump Force Slifer the Sky Dragon

Jump Force Slifer the Sky Dragon Trailer Shows the God Card in Action

Yugi Muto from Yu-Gi-Oh joining the Jump Force roster was initially announced last month. However, Bandai Namco hasn’t revealed any gameplay footage of the iconic character, until now, that is. The Jump Force Yugi character trailer finally shows him in action, with an additional surprise at the end, with Jump Force Slifer the Sky Dragon confirmed to appear in the upcoming crossover fighting game.

The Jump Force Yugi character trailer begins by revealing a new Golden Gate Bridge stage littered with statues from Naruto. Yugi can be seen fighting with Dragon Ball‘s Frieza by summoning his signature card, Dark Magician. He later summons Dark Magician Girl as well, unleashing what is probably a special attack inspired by the franchise’s Dark Magic Twin Burst attack.

After that, we can see Yugi summoning Slifer the Sky Dragon, one of the more popular Egyptian God Cards from the series. We predicted that he might be able to summon Dark Magician before, but perhaps there will be even more monsters in Yugi’s move set in Jump Force. The addition of Blue Eyes White Dragon or any of the other God Cards would surely satisfy fans of the franchise.

Besides summoning monster cards, Yugi will also be able to use Spell or Trap cards in battle to gain the upper hand. Examples of this could be reflecting or negating the enemy’s attack by using certain cards. It will be interesting to see what else Yugi will be capable of in Jump Force. The most recent addition to the Jump Force roster was Yu Yu Hakusho‘s Yusuke Urameshi, which was announced during last month’s Tokyo Game Show 2018.

Jump Force is slated to release for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in February 2019. We will have to wait for more details and information as we get closer to the eventual release date. In the meantime, check out our first look at Jump Force Slifer the Sky Dragon in the Yugi character trailer below.
