FIFA 19 1.07 Update Patch Notes – What’s Changed?

The FIFA 19 1.07 update may not be littered with a laundry list of tweaks, fixes, and other sweeping changes but, whisper it, everything that’s changed in the FIFA 19 Title Update 6 (which released as a FIFA 19 update on PC on December 17) might count towards it being the most important update of the year. That’s why looking through the FIFA 19 1.07 patch notes is going to be so integral this week. Here’s what you need to know.

FIFA 19 1.07 Update – Online Lag Fix

Cross your fingers, cross your toes, cross your cleats. The only and only change coming via the FIFA 19 1.07 update is in response to the age-old complaint against EA games: the connection isn’t up to snuff.

In response, EA is rolling out a fix to help alleviate packet loss issues, as well as high latency in matches. They include the following modes:

  • Ultimate Team Champions
  • Ultimate Team Division Rivals
  • Ultimate Team Online Draft
  • Pro Clubs
  • Co-op Seasons

Weirdly, and perhaps annoyingly, speaking from personal experience, it appears that the traditional Seasons mode will be left untouched. Of course, lag still persists on that mode, perhaps more so for me than any of the other modes put together, so it remains to be seen whether this was an oversight or something that still needs to be worked on for the future.

But what does this all mean? Firstly, it could be a bit of a safety net before the inevitably Christmas rush happens though, perhaps more hopefully, EA has finally managed to fix the lag and server issues that have dogged the FIFA series over the past couple of console generations. It is especially encouraging to see an improvement aimed at the FUT Champions and Division Rivals modes, as any dip in connection can prove fatal at the higher levels – and nobody wants that.
