Bastion Dev Reveals New Game, Titled Transistor

The guys over at Supergiant Games made it perfectly clear they have some serious developing talent when they released their first game, Bastion, to much critical acclaim back in 2011. Since that time, the studio's been working away on a new project, and is ready to share it with the world.

The game is called Transistor, a sci-fi action-RPG that puts players in the shoes of "a young woman who gains control of a powerful weapon after a mysterious group of assailants nearly kills her with it. Now she must fight from street to street against forces that will stop at nothing to recover the weapon. During the course of the adventure, players will piece together the Transistor’s mysteries as they pursue its former owners.”

As you'll undoubtedly notice in the announcement trailer above, the game features a vibrant and colorful art style that is unsurprisingly reminiscent of the studio's prior work, which, by the way, is totally fine by me.

The game is expected to launch sometime next year, so sit tight and keep checking GameRevolution for future updates. We still don't know what platforms it will be available for, but the title will be at PAX East, so you can count on me to fight my way through the crowds to get some hands-on time with it.
