Borderlands 2 Level Cap Raised To 61 With Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack

Have you started getting bored with Borderlands 2? That is, after playing through the game five times with each character? Well, Gearbox Software has the next big update with the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack, which raises the level cap from the measly 50 to 61. This will allow you to build characters with a wealth of skills from two skill trees.

Available free for those with a Borderlands 2 Season Pass, the pack also adds a third play-through difficulty called Ultimate Vault Hunter which adds a much higher drop rate for pearlescent weapons. Oh, now you're listening, huh?! Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software, is proud of the patch:

Millions of vault hunters have spent countless hours adventuring their way through the Borderlands 2 universe. Raising the level cap takes a significant amount of man hours, but we know fans are eager to continue looting Pandora, and so we’re rewarding our Season Pass holders by offering the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack for free as a part of the celebration.

The pack has naturally been included in the Season Pass available for $29.99. By itself, the pack is only $5 or 400 MSP.
