Next Xbox Will Reportedly Feature Always-On DRM, Video Sharing, Twitter-esque Friends List

And the rumors just keep on comin'.

According to Polygon's inside sources, the next Xbox will feature a friends list akin to Twitter. In this way, players can "follow" others without having to make that two-way connection. It also supposedly allows Microsoft to remove the cap on the number of friends you can have, so that's a major plus.

On a slightly more depressing note, it appears that always-on DRM could very well be a widely implemented thing with the Xbox 720. However, "the decision of whether a game will require an internet connection to work and if that is a one-time authentication or a constant connection, will be left up to individual publishers," the outlet claims.

But the fun-filled rumors don't end there. There's also talk of the next Xbox allowing players to share video content much like the PlayStation 4. The feature allegedly works like a DVR, allowing you to record gameplay and then go back to select highlights. Of course, you'll be able to toggle this feature on or off, with an added option to auto-capture special in-game moments like headshots.

What do you make of these rumors? Is the supposed DRM inclusion a deal-breaker for you? Sound off in the comments below.
