Blizzard Making “Large Design And Technology Changes” To Titan, Release Far Off

It appears that Blizzard's upcoming MMO, codenamed Titan, is still far off from being completed, as the company has announced that it has had to make some significant changes that will only further delay the game's release.

VentureBeat is reporting that a significant portion on the Titan development team has been reassigned, leaving a small core group to rework the game from square one. The game is said to be tentatively planned for a 2016 release at the earliest.

If an effort to clarify what is going on at the studio, Blizzard provided the following statement to IGN:

We've always had a highly iterative development process, and the unannounced MMO is no exception. We've come to a point where we need to make some large design and technology changes to the game. We're using this opportunity to shift some of our resources to assist with other projects while the core team adapts our technology and tools to accommodate these new changes. Note that we haven’t announced any dates for the MMO.
