How long will Fallout 76 be down?

Unlike the previous games in the series, Fallout 76 is an online RPG. That means means it receives constant attention and updates, but the downside is it’s at the mercy of the whims of servers. Either due to maintenance, patches, or the servers just going down now and again, Fallout 76 can go offline, and it is down right now. How long will Fallout 76 be down? Well, let’s have a look.

How long will Fallout 76 be down? | Servers down

Fallout 76 sometimes goes down, and the game happens to be down now as we write this. If you try to log in the game is having trouble, you may get an error message saying “this account lacks the required entitlements.” If that’s the case, don’t panic, there is nothing wrong with your account or your game, Fallout 76 is simply down for everyone and that’s a weird error message to tell you that.

So, how long will Fallout 76 be offline? It should be up very soon. Check out the Fallout 76 status page for more information, and an exact time when it goes live. Alternatively, stay tuned to the Fallout Twitter feed, as it’ll probably update when maintenance is concluded. You’ll just have to be patient, unfortunately!

Why is Fallout 76 down right now?

Fallout 76 is down, along with all its servers, for essential maintenance related to the upcoming patch. You can check out the full patch notes for patch 11 or update 1.23 right here, but it’s quite a sizeable addition, which is why it’s taking several hours to implement and servers down. The patch will add improvements to Power Armor, balance changes for the Nuclear Winter battle royale mode, better item descriptions, and massive improvements to the early stages of Fallout 76, to make stepping into the Wasteland a much better experience for new players and players starting fresh with a new character.
