Plan your path and moves ahead taking the vegetables that will grow in consideration as well.
Always move as fast as you can when you have three vegetables of the same kind stacked on your head. It will give you a chance to clear odd numbers ie 4,5,6,7 etc.
Extra moves are priced at almost $1 so think if it's ok for you.
It's far beter, if you really want to spend the money, to invest in Powerup Bundles which give you a bigger bang for your buck.
