Apex Legends Lifeline buff

Apex Legends Lifeline Buff | Season 5 Revive Drone

Electronic Arts’ annual EA Play event featured plenty of exciting Apex Legends news, but perhaps the biggest takeaway was a blink-and-you-miss-it look at an awesome new Lifeline ability. The Apex Legends Lifeline buff seemingly allows her to remotely revive teammates using the Heal Drone. Stick with us to learn how this could impact the meta and when the update might release.

During EA Play Live 2020, Respawn Entertainment debuted a trailer for the upcoming Lost Treasures event. In the footage, Lifeline can be seen deploying her Heal Drone tactical ability to perform a remote revive. The revive shield still deploys while Lifeline herself is free to defend against enemies, which seems incredibly powerful. While we don’t know the ins and outs of its implementation yet, the Revive Drone could make Lifeline a top pick.

If concessions aren’t made — like the revive taking longer and/or the shield being weaker — this could be a crazy addition. The ability to passively revive while keeping pressure on enemies is a major buff, potentially making Lifeline a vital pick. That’s just speculation based on a brief glimpse, however, so we’ll have to wait and see how the Lifeline Season 5 buff is actually handled.

The wait might not be all that long, considering that our first look came courtesy of a Lost Treasures Collection trailer. That event kicks off next week, June 23, so it’s possible that the Lifeline revive buff will release alongside it.

Although Lifeline might’ve slipped down the Apex Legends tier list since launch, she’s still a great addition to any team. Bearing that in mind, this latest buff could jettison her back up to S-rank territory. These are intriguing times for Apex support players; we’ll keep you posted on any official patch notes.
