Clear DualShock 3 Controller Announced… For Japan

Sony has just announced a very sleek-looking new model of the DualShock 3 that is completely clear. Right now it is only confirmed for release in Japan, but take a look at it below and you'll understand why I've got my fingers crossed in hopes of a western release.

 

Does the "Crystal" controller not look super cool? Anytime a piece of hardware is available in clear, it immediately gains a couple of extra points in my book. The device will be priced at 5,500 yen and will hit store shelves on December 19th. Here's a look at the controller from a different angle.
