Microsoft has shed light on some of the Xbox One prototype controllers that ultimately led to the creation of the new control pad that will ship along side its next-gen console when it hits store shelves this Friday.
Believe it or not, the company created hundreds of different prototypes that experimented with all sorts of crazy functionality; one of which even emitted smells. "We built small slugs of different types of smells that could actually come out of a controller," general manager for accessories Zulfi Alam told VentureBeat. "Like, as you walked through a jungle, you’d smell the flora."
