Microsoft Compensating Broken Xbox One Owners With Free First-Party Game

Those who have fallen victim to Xbox One launch hardware issues will be compensated by Microsoft with a free first-party game of their choice.

"While a replacement console is on its way, we want to ensure our advance exchange customers can stay in the game. We will provide each of them with a free digital download of one of the launch titles published by Microsoft Studios," the company explained.

Those stuck with a faulty disc drive can still play digital games while they wait for their replacement console to arrive. That is why gamers will be able to select a digital copy of either Dead Rising 3Forza Motorsport 5Ryse: Son of Rome, or Zoo Tycoon free of charge.
