Wii U sales in the United States climbed to just 230,000 units during the month of November, a "reliable industry source" has told Nintendo World Report.
This certainly doesn't paint a promising future for Wii U, as November is traditionally one of the biggest months for console sales. Nintendo was targeting a total of 9 million sales this fiscal year, and by the looks of it, the Big N still has another 8 million units to go before it reaches its goal; an impossible task at this point.
In addition, Super Mario 3D World, Wii U's headliner for this holiday season, sold approximately 215,000 units. Considering we're talking about a Mario game here, that is pretty disheartening.
Is Nintendo in trouble with Wii U? Can the likes of Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros. turn the console's fortunes around at this point? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
