Quordle Answer 116

Quordle Answer 116: May 20, 2022 Word Solution

The Quordle 116 answer for May 20, 2022 has been deciphered. Today’s puzzle isn’t too difficult, though two words in particular may make you stumble a bit. The bottom-left has several rare letters and vowels in very common places, so you may need to leave it as the last word to solve. The top-left word isn’t too difficult if you get all the vowels early enough, but if you would like a hint, it’s the name of an animal. Do you need more help? The full solution has been placed after the break.

What is the Quordle answer 116? (May 20, 2022)

Quordle Answer 116

The Quordle answer 116 is:

  • “QUAIL”
  • “DRIER”
  • “GIVEN”
  • “PLACE”

“GIVEN” is the most challenging word of the four, with both the uncommon “G” and “V” consonants. You’ll likely get the “I” and “E” vowels as well as the “N” consonant early on, but that doesn’t give a lot of information to work with. “QUAIL” actually shouldn’t be too hard despite the “Q” if you can find the three vowels as there aren’t too many five-letter words with a “U,” “A,” and “I.” “DRIER” and “PLACE” are on the easier side as well, though “DRIER” may make you use up a guess because of how close it is to other words like “DRIED.”

Since Quordle allows players to guess three more times than classic Wordle, it’s best to guess multiple words at the start that covers all of the vowels and the majority of the most common consonants. Not only will this confirm many letters in the green or yellow, but it will eliminate the bulk of the letters on the keyboard before you start guessing the full words by the fourth entry or so.

Per usual, you can access the practice area of the official website if you wish to continue solving Quordles as you wait for the next daily puzzle. That said, you can actually play more daily puzzles if you wish by altering the time on your device, either in your phone’s settings or the calendar settings on your computer. Fair warning, though. You may want to play Quordle on a different browser or device altogether if you want to protect your records.
