The Outlast Trials closed beta dates announced

The Outlast Trials Beta Sign Up Release Date

You’ll soon be able to sign up for The Outlast Trials closed beta on the official website. The playtest will run from October 28 to November 1. What the beta will entail hasn’t been revealed yet, but the studio promises to reveal more soon.

The game isn’t a direct sequel to Outlast 2 and isn’t meant to be Outlast 3. Instead, it’s a separate spin-off that centers around a secret facility in the Cold War. Here, you’ll place a kidnapped test subject that’ll be forced to partake in a series of physical and mental challenges.

Red Barrels co-founder and designer David Chateauneuf said of the beta:

“Last year, we debuted the first gameplay trailer for The Outlast Trials at Opening Night Live, and were overwhelmed by the positive reception. “So it’s fantastic to be back again this year, and be able to provide a date for when test subjects… sorry, I mean fans, can enter the Closed Beta trials.”

No release date has been set for the game yet.
